My Story
Feisty Mommy is a place where I tell my story in painful memoirs to spread awareness about sexual assault and abuse and the aftermath of a survivor from my point of view. I suffer from CPTSD. Sexual assault is the leading cause of PTSD in women. 1 in 6 women and 1 in 33 men are a victim of attempted or completed sexual assault in their lives. Please know that you are not alone. Rape is one of the most underreported crimes. This is a poem I wrote to my babies. I want them to know that no matter where they are, what they are doing, mommy will always be here for them. I want them to grow up good and slow. I want them to embrace their childhood and be filled with confidence and courage. Our children are our future. They need our time, unconditional love and guidance! We are to learn from what we went through to do and be better for them. I am feisty mama bear, and they know that I will always be in their corner at every single step of the way. I will always strive to be the mother I wish I had growing up and strive to be nothing like the one I did have.
